Food residue and yard trimmings make up nearly one-quarter of all municipal solid waste in the U.S., a large amount that can be useful as composted organic waste. In 2006, one-third of all food residue and yard trimmings were recovered through composting.
Composting is a way for you to make your yard waste work for you. Follow the simple easy recipe and use the results to enhance the quality of your garden soil. There are some do and don't and some basic rules to follow which help make the process more successful.
